About the artist:

Charles Marton is an American artist with a European background. After graduating from the School of
Fine-and Applied Arts in Budapest, Hungary as a graphic artist he has been working for "Mafilm" the
Hungarian Filmstudio. Later he's been creating advertising graphics and illustrations for several years
for a major publishing house. His artworks were published in many newspapers and magazines
throughout Hungary. Since 1984 he lives in the US.

There are an extraordinary number of drawing styles and methods that an artist can use when drawing in
ink. Charles Marton has developed a distinct personal style that is easily recognizable. He integrates
the elegant look of the traditional pen and ink/colored pencils art and the cutting-edge digital art into a
one of a kind art form.

In 1998 an architectural rendering of his featuring Stetson University's new library building in Gulfport,
Florida was presented as a gift to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg by the law school's
dean. The framed picture now hangs in the Justice Department building in Washington D.C.

His artworks are in collections of several countries such as: Australia, Ireland, Japan and Hungary. A
number of his illustrations have appeared in the National Geographic Traveler magazine.
His artworks can be seen in newspapers, magazines, brochures, business-web sites, on greeting
cards, T-shirts etc.
